Whether it was for the food in front of him or for the company he kept, Jesus was intentional in frequently expressing his gratitude. You can be that way too.

Being a peacemaker does not mean avoiding a disagreement. Jesus could defuse conflict through his carefully meassured questions, listening skills and unexpected compassion. Jesus wasn't afraid to step between bullies and their victim, and you can be that way too.

Jesus frequently mediated differences between enemies. His controlled way of commuinicating and extreme patience with others allowed him to build bridges across broken relationships. You can be that way too.

Jesus called out hypocrisy with clear words and dramatic actions. He criticized elites for pointing fingers at others while ignoring their own faults. Jesus was someone who spoke truth to power effectively, and you can be that way too.

He showed them their value wasn't dependent on achievements, possessions or their pursuit of more. Jesus taught that they could find fulfillment, joy, and flourishing right where they were.

Jesus began his most famous speech by speaking directly to the people who had the least. How did he acknowledge them?

"Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. 
Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the earth."
